"Sew" Much Love

Each school semester 12-20 sixth, seventh and eighth graders participate in making dresses, shorts, and teddy bears under the guidance of their teacher Michele Querry.  The items go out to different groups who distribute them to orphans worldwide, less fortunate children in our community, and hospitalized children. They have been sewing for about 6 years and their group typically produces about 600 or more bears annually.  Michele started her  students group with the intent of teaching students basic sewing skills and teaching them to do something for someone other than themselves.
