LuAnn Berger Shared “Our missions committee supports both Operation Christmas Child and a local Christian school. We make stuffed animals and dolls, some sewn, others crocheted. We also make other toys and fun items to go in shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. Operation Christmas Child (a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse) sends the shoeboxes that we, along with many other people, fill to children around the world. I love to do this because we have so much here in the USA and children in many parts of the world have so little. To know that I’m bringing a smile to a child’s face touches my heart. Most of these children don’t get Christmas or birthday gifts – they live in such poverty. I can’t change the world, but I can make a difference in a child’s life and give them hope and a little love.”
