“Twin Oaks has been in operation for 38 years. We are Assisted Living for the elderly. We have a class once a month called ‘Surgery Dolls’ and anywhere from 15-25 people participate along with some volunteers. Our volunteers sew dolls, animals, and pillows and our residents fill and sew the items for us to donate to the hospital. These dolls, animals, and pillows are given to the children at the hospital by the doctors who perform surgeries, etc. Pillows are used for kids who have a broken arm or leg. We do this because it gives our residents, here at Twin Oaks, purpose and we also are serving the children in our community.” shared Tracey Sutton.
