Desert Holly Comfort Station

Mary Frost has been one of the 10 plus members of The Desert Holly Comfort Station since 1993 but knows of others who’ve been involved since back in the 1960’s. They make all kinds of  pillows for the Shriners Hospital, dogbone and jellybean shaped pillows and mastectomy pillows for Loma Linda Hospital, and crocheted hats and lap robes for Cedars Sinai NICU unit. In 2015 thay made, stuffed and delivered 988 items of which 698 were pillows and spent 4877 hours doing it. It brings a smile to the recipients face, who is likely in pain and these help them be more comfortable. “Patient Comfort Station, that’s us! These hospitals love getting these goodies!” says Mary Frost.
