Women on Mission

Judy Myers told us that in February 2010 the Women on Mission group at Wynnbrook Baptist Church started making heart shaped “Pillow of Love” pillows for breast cancer patients. 75 were made that year and since then the mission ministry has grown so we have given over 2,000 pillows. They learned these pillows are not only helpful to breast cancer patients but also those going through chemo, dialysis, surgeries, broken bones, nursing babies. There are 25 to 30 people involved in making the pillows plus those that donate fabric, gift cards and postage. It takes a village to raise a child and a village to make Pillow of Love pillows. Each person that donates, cuts, sews, stuffs, or close the opening prays for the person receiving the pillow to receive comfort from it. They have testimony after testimony about how this pillow has affected their healing and also a Missionary is using it as a tool to share God’s Word in a foreign land.

Because you posted our story, and I shared it with my friends and they shared it, God has truly blessed this ministry in so many ways. Thank you for sharing and thank you for the Poly-Fil. When I was released from my Oncologist to a yearly visit, he told me to keep making those pillows and this has helped us do just that. Merry Christmas to you and may you feel the love of Christmas every day.
