VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA

“Our group is called Pillowcase Ladies. We have been doing charity work for the past 16 years. We have a group of ladies that meet once a month at Quilt Country in Lewisville, TX. We make pillowcases, gel packs, neck rolls, quilts, telemetry bags (to hold heart monitors) burp cloths etc. for Cook Childrens Hospital, Volunteers of America, MHMR of Denton County
DSSLC (Denton State Living Center), Ronald McDonald House, Denton County Children’s Advocacy Center of Denton. Friends of the Family, and several others. Yearly we give well over 4,000 items. Most items we donate are embroidered. I will work most nights until Midnight, finishing and embroidering all the items. God has been good to us, and there are so many not as fortunate that we want to make a difference in their lives in some way.” explained Judy Meyers
