Heart & Hands Quilt Guild

The Hearts & Hands Quilt Guild was organized in 1995 by a group of women to maintain the art of quilting and to further it to the best of our abilities. Service to the community is a very important part of the Guild’s mission. We meet in a local church basement the second Thursday of every month, and get together to sew and for fellowship in smaller groups weekly. Currently, we have 49 members. We have several service projects that we work on both individually and together as a group. We provide baby quilts to be included in layettes that a local pregnancy crisis center distributes to needy women, lap quilts to be donated to local wounded soldiers and veterans at the VA hospital, pillowcases for the “One Million Pillowcase Challenge” which are donated to our local Children’s Hospital to brighten the days of the sick children there, and various items distributed to a local shelter for abused women and children. Our group loves to sew and quilt! With all we have, it’s a great opportunity to give back to those who need it most…..and the Thank You cards we receive are both heartwarming and tear jerking!
