Fairway Village Quilters

Our group began in 2012 with 10 ladies. We currently have 20 ladies who participate and we meet once a week. We make quilts and fleece blankets as well as dog blankets. We donate quilts to people going through chemotherapy and dialysis as well as other medical traumas. We also donate to our local Veterans’ Hospital, Humane Society and residents. Since our group began, we have given over 1,000 quilts and blankets. Since January 2016, we have already completed and distributed over 200. Our one and only reason for doing this is to bring comfort and hope to those who are having to face medical and emotional traumas. – JoAnn Brockmann

Hello! My name is Nancy Jones and I work at the Gresham Station Davita Dialysis Clinic in Gresham, OR. I was referred to your group by my co-workers at the Vancouver Davita clinic.

We are a fairly new clinic and we are in the process of making sure we have everything available for our dialysis patients. One of the items we do not have are extra blankets for our patients who might have an accident with their own blanket and need a source of warmth during their treatments.

I understand that your group donates quilts to chemotherapy and dialysis clinics and was wondering if we might qualify for help from your group. If not are you aware of a group in the Portland area that provides this same sort of aid. If we are able to receive some help from your group you can leave the quilts for us at the Vancouver clinic and they will get them to us.

My phone contact is 503-465-1068 and I am in the office from 6:30 am to 3pm Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays. My email address is listed below.

Thanks for your consideration of our clinic.
