Comforts by Karly

“I am a nurse in the post-surgical/trauma unit of Danbury Hospital serving patients recently recovering from a variety of surgeries. We sew and fill pillows for the patients, seeking out school and community groups to fill the pillows with poly-fil. We will make small pillows in a variety of sizes for comfort. I wanted to find a way for people of all ages in the community to offer help and support to our patients. My daughter, Karly, and her friends are very excited to do something tangible and concrete to help as part of the community. Our goal is to sew and fill 50 pillows during 2017. I hope to grow the project and provide a steady supply of these pillows to alleviate pain and to bring cheer during a difficult time in a patient’s life.” Rebecca DeLutri said.
