St. Augustine Piecemakers Quilt Guild

The St. Augustine Piecemakers Guild has been servicing their community since 1983 by providing “Comfort Quilts” to The Alpha-Omega Miracle Home which provides help and shelter to homeless women and children, The Betty Griffin House a shelter for abuse victims and St. Gerard House and School for pregnant teens and unwed mothers. Their members love to come together twice a year for a Comfort Quilt Sew-In, where they cut, sew, press, assemble and create. This process has allowed them to make a big impact in their community. It also provides their 140 members the chance to share their love of quilting and to practice skill building. They made and donated approximately 150 quilts last year. Laura Austin says “We love what we do!”
