Quilts For Hope

Barbara Russo’s group “Quilts for Hope” make quilts for at risk children. They donate the quilts to “The Audrey Hepburn Children’s House in Hackensack, NJ. She has been quilting for over 16 years makes quilts for children living in shelters, hospitals, and boarder babies. Right now there at 8 members in the group and they meet at their church once a month.

Barbara shared “There are so many children that are great need of love in this world. The kids that we give to have been abused, abandon by the parents, are born sick by their mother’s addictions. Unfortunately, this never seems to stop. I do this to let them know that someone does care for them, even though we will never meet them. But the social workers let us know how happy they become when they receive their quilt and specially when they find out that they get to keep it.”
