Hope Haven Area Development Center

“Hope Haven Area Development Center is a non-profit organization in Southeast Iowa. We provide vocational, residential, community employment, and living services for over 500 mentally and physically challenged persons. Our Day Habilitation Program includes group activities, community integration, and paid work. Our Day Habilitation Group is currently making neck and port cath pillows for cancer patients at Great River Medical Center, Fort Madison Community Hospital, and The University of Iowa Hospital who are receiving chemo treatment. The port cath is used on seatbelts so the belt doesn’t rub or put pressure on the port. Over 500 have been made. Our group loves to give back and get involved in the community. Cancer is a disease that touches so many people’s lives. We wanted to do something that would help out people who are going through an extremely rough time.” shared Brock Anderson
