Helping Hands Ladies of Cypress
“Helping Hands Ladies of Cypress began in 2017 with four ladies who wanted to make a difference in the community by providing handmade textiles to those less fortunate. Our come and go workdays are held twice a month in the home of one of our members. We have between 15 – 25 members who stop by and pick up supplies to use when working at home and drop off their completed projects. We make quilts in several different sizes as well as Knitted or crocheted blankets scarfs and scarves. They are donated to underserved community members, the military, veterans, hospice patients, Children & youth in CPS care, first responders, police, & pregnant women in our local community, & nationally
We do this to assist the less fortunate, provide fellowship for ourselves, express love & compassion for those in need of comfort & give us a sense of purpose by providing a hand of comfort.” shared Cathy Travland.
