Bosom buddies

Jan Nelson and two of her best friends each have daughters that were diagnosed with cancer in the last year. When her daughter had a bilateral mastectomy she asked Jan to make a pair of these pillows for her, and Jan also made them for her friend’s daughters. They decided to get together and make some to donate. They have been spending about one day a month cutting, sewing and stuffing armpit pillows for mastectomy patients and seat belt port protectors for chemo patients. They donate them to the cancer center of their local hospital, and they send them anywhere in the country to anyone that requests them for no charge.
