We love to help organizations who help others. We are highlighting a group of volunteers that are local to our facility in Danbury, Connecticut the Fabric Friends of the Danbury Museum. The Fabric Friends of the Danbury Museum hold their monthly gathering to craft lap-sized comfort quilts for patients at Danbury Hospital.
The volunteers are are creating wonderful comfort quilts and learning about quilting from each other. If you are new to quilting or if you are a quilting pro they would love to have you join them.
If you don’t have the time but are looking to downsize your stash and if you have cotton fabric or batting that you would like to donate, please give them a call at 203-743-5200, or drop in to the museum on a Saturday during regular museum hours.
They hold their meetings are the first Monday of the month. Drop in any time during the evening that is most convenient for you between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. All are welcome no matter what your skill set!
