Southfield Village Nursing and Assisted Living Home

Lucinda Jaronik says, “My mother who is 86 lives at Southfield Village nursing home. She used to sew all the time. Dresses for the granddaughters, crafty things and quilts. She has dementia and can’t remember how to sew those things anymore. The only thing she can sew now is neck pillows. It gives her something to do all day. She gives them to everyone at the home. One man requested extra filling so he could sit on it to help with his back. They all lover her neck pillows. She makes them for their families and people who live and work there. We have gone through 8 boxes of Poly fill in 8 months.”
