MEQ Machine Embroidery Quilting

Nancy McGee explained “Our club is a group of 45 women in a retirement community. We use embroidery sewing machines to create the gifts for the communities in our area. We meet in a local recreation center once a week for 3 hours. Our group was formed in 2013. We have made doll house and service station fabric fold up toys as well as racetracks for cars. Our latest and largest projects are reading pillows and toiletry bags for women entering domestic violence shelters. Our reading pillows were gifted to the local high poverty kindergarten classes. We have also donated to a local foster care program. As well as other deserving groups. We do this because we see the need in the community and want to do everything we can to make someone’s life a little bit better.”
