First United Methodist Church Crafting Mission Circle

They started a mission circle this year that has seven to ten members who meet once a month at the church to share their projects and ideas.

They make fidget pillows for the local nursing home, comfort pillows and port-a-cath pillows for three area hospitals and sewing kits for Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan’s purse for underprivileged children around the world.

In a year they usually provide 180-200 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child and about 300 chemo caps for patients at hospital. So far this year they they have made 66 comfort pillows, 151 port-a-cath pillows and have started making fidget pillows for residents at their local 120 bed nursing home.

“We do this to show Christian love to those who are hurting and in need.” shared Lois Keller
