Firehouse Quilts of Colorado, Inc.

Firehouse Quilts was formed in 2001 and they have about 60 active members. They meet twice a month at Shiloh House in Littleton to sew quilts for children in crisis. They make snuggle quilts, lap quilts, and twin sized quilts for fire departments, hospitals, shelters, victim advocate groups, and a private ambulance company. They are given to newborns, adolescents, and teens who are victims of some sort of crisis in their lives. They make nearly 1,000 quilts a year that are donated to 16 hospitals/agencies and 12 fire departments in the state of Colorado. It’s their goal to provide comfort and happiness to the children who are experiencing hardship in their lives.
