Totally Tilda and Guest Maker Liza

Please welcome Liza of Lizas Paper Passion as our first Guest Maker.  Liza is a paper crafter who has found her way to sewing and Totally Tilda Dolls.  These dolls, their friends and their accessories are very fancy, whimsical and can be very detailed.

The first piece is a Tilda Bodice made from Oly-fun that is decorated and used as a pin cushion.

The  second project that Liza created is a Cone shaped or tussy mussy shaped pin cushion also from Oly-fun.

Her YouTube channel is Lizaspaperpassion because she truly has a passion for papercrafting. She began her journey in the crafting world while pregnant with a son who is now almost 12. Over the past few years, she branched out into various types of crafting and most recently sewing. Her mom gifted a sewing machine last year and she started doodling around with small projects. It wasn’t until she started her FaceBook Group Totally Tilda  that she started making dolls, specifically Tilda dolls.  She loves both sewing Tilda projects and paper projects.

When  asked to be a  guest designer and create a few projects using Oly*Fun by Fairfield, she jumped a the chance. She  had used a lot of the stuffing called Polyfil that is made by Fairfield by never heard of Oly*Fun.  We sent Liza a sample of Olyfun in  in grey, green, white and her favorite color pink.  She loves the feel of the fabric and that it cuts beautifully and no hemming is required. She narrowed down her focus and shared the beautiful projects with Oly-fun.

Liza was  honored we chose her to design some projects for Fairfield, and this is what she had to say.  “I had a lot of fun with the Oly*Fun project and definitely plan on incorporating into my sewing and paper crafting projects. One thing I loved when I went to the Fairfield World blog company blog  is the first line that reads: “Crafting is a passion that allows each of us to express ourselves in ways that are truly unique, to lovingly create with our hands that which we hold dear to our hearts.” When I make projects for family and friends and swaps, I make them with love and it is so nice to see that a major company like Fairfiled knows this and keeps this in mind as they make products that crafters like myself will love using.”  I enjoyed using the Oly*Fun product to make a Tilda dressform manequin, flowers, and beautiful ice cream cone pin cushion.

These are the tattered flowers she made using Oly-fun
