Round 1: in mr, ch 1, 8 sc

Rounds 2-8: 1 sc in each stitch

Finish off, cut yarn, and set aside

  • bear body
  • attaching arms
  • head and arms

Step Two

Next make the head, body and legs, starting with the head

With purple yarn start with a magic ring

Round 2: 2 sc in each stitch (12 sc)

Round 18: on this round you will attach the arms, to figure out where to attach them you need to find the 4 stitches on each side of the body where you will need to put them and there should be 8 stitches in between on the back and the front. You will flatten the arms and hold them on the outside of the body and crochet through both layers of the arm and the body. Work 1 sc in each stitch, 4 in each arm, 8 across the back and the front for a total 24 sc

Round 19-24: 1 sc in each stitch around

Round 26: 1 sc in each stitch (20 sc)

Make sure that the body is well stuffed

Round 27: on this round you will begin making one leg, the first thing you need to do is find the center of the back and front, you should have 10 stitches on either side, on the side your hook is  on work the 10 stitches on that side, skipping the 10 stitches on the other side (for example my hook ended the round right on the side of the bear so I worked 5 stitches across the front, skipped 10, and worked 5 stitches across the back) (10 sc)

Round 28-33: sc around (10 sc)

Make sure that the leg is stuffed

Round 34: sc2tog around (5 sc)

Finish off, cut yarn, weave around stitches in last round, and pull to cinch closed, weave in end

Round 36-41: 1 sc in each stitch around (10 sc)
