Instructions

Step One

Determine the size you want your football and create a pattern similar to the one pictured here.

Trace onto your stretchy brown material. You will need 4 pieces.

Step Two

Trace pattern onto your stretchy brown material. You will need to cut out 4 pieces.

Step Three

With right sides together sew one edge of two of the pieces together. (We recommend using double seems, or creating an inner liner so that micro bead filler does not escape.)
Repeat this with the other two pieces.

Now you will have 2 halves of the football.
With right sides together sew both sides together using double seems and leaving an opening to turn the pillow.

Step Four

Take one pillow half, and using the white ribbon create decorative lacing. We sewed ours on with a machine. You can also use fabric glue, or sew on by hand.

Step Five

Now you will have 2 halves of the football.
With right sides together sew both sides together using double seems and leaving an opening to turn the pillow.

Step Six

Flip pillow right side out.
Fill with Poly-Fil® brand Mini Micro Beads

Tip: Microbeads are filled with static. you may require the help of a friend when filling your pillow. We have found that it is best to fill slowly using a funnel.

Note: Don’t have a funnel? We made one out of an empty soda bottle!

Step Seven

Once filled, machine sew the opening to close. Go over opening twice to securely close your football pillow.

Relax and enjoy your football pillow!
