Isn’t he sweet? This adorable snowfolk character was made using both Poly-fil® fiber and Poly-pellets® stuffing beads.

What you need to make this project

Materials
¼ yard of Soft and Toasty Cotton Batting
1 bag of Poly-Fil® Poly Pellets® Weighted Stuffing Beads , about 2 cups
Supplies
One 2” Styrofoam ball
Thread
White glue
Small sticks (for arms)
2 Black buttons (for eyes)
Black perle cotton (for mouth)
Small strip of fabric (for scarf)
Buttons (for trim)

Instructions

Step One

Cut from the Warm and Natural one large circle for head, two pieces for body and one small circle for bottom. Cut 2 noses from orange felt.

Step Two

Sew body together along sides as indicated on the pattern- turn right side out.

Step Three

Run a gathering stitch around bottom edge – pull tightly, end stitching then glue the small bottom circle over the gathers centering it. Let dry.

Step Four

Meanwhile, gather the outside edge of the large circle and stretch fabric over the Styrofoam ball pulling gathering stitches and fabric tightly so gathering meets in the smallest cluster possible. Secure stitches.

Step Five

Fill bottom of Snowfolk body with pellets and pack firmly with poly-fil to the neck. Fold neckedge into body ½”. Set head into neck opening and sew head to neck using a ladder stitch. Position eyes as desired or as in photo – glue or sew in place

Step Six

Sew the nose pieces together and turn. Stuff firmly and sew to face. Embroider mouth on.

Step Seven

Use small sharp scissors to poke holes in body and insert glued sticks about 1/3 of the way down from the head for the arms.  Decorate your Snowfolk with scarf and buttons.
