This tree is made from natural cotton giving it a soft cozy look. It is very easy to make You can dye the batting or embellish with colored accents to coordinate with your holiday color story.
Cut a triangle of batting wide enough to wrap around the cone with an overlap and glue in place. Tuck the bottom edge under the cone and glue. You can trim if necessary.
Measure the distance from the top of the cone to the bottom and add two inches. (we used a 20″ cone for ours). Cut strips of batting that are 2″ wide by the above-calculated length. run a thin line of glue across the strip of batting and squeeze together to gather. Repeat at even intervals along the strip.
Glue the strips to the cone starting at the top. Trim bottom if needed. Glue small pearl or other gems on top of gathered areas. (optional)
Gather and twist the batting at the top and glue in place.
