Cut your background to the desired size – 18″ x 24″ is a great start.
Cut 1.5″ strips for the stems, cut leaves and a zig-zag strip for the grass.

Cut a backing piece. Spray baste the backing, batting, and top together. Trim.
Glue the stems and grass in place.
Draw lines 2″ apart as a quilting guide.

Use embroidery floss to quilt the background, the stems, and the grass.

Cut binding, stitch in place.

Cut 4 wonky flower pieces from each of the flower colors.

Fold in half-ish, then into quarters-ish. The edges should not line up.

Stitch at the top of the stem. Repeat with the other petals to make the full flower.

Repeat with all the flowers and add buttons to the center.

Your Oly*fun mini quilt is complete!
