Gather your favorite color of Oly*Fun, Stiffen Interfacing, and some Curtain Grommets from Dritz® Home along with a few basic supplies and you will be ready to start creating your very own in no time at all. What you need to make this project

Materials: One package of Oly-Fun™ Craft Pack Bubble Gum; 1/2 yard Stiffen fusible rigid backing; One package Curtain Grommets by Dritz® HOME; Single Fold Bias Tape; One Yard Fringe Trim - Optional; One Yard Ribbon - Optional

Supplies: Hanger of your choice; Scrap paper to create pattern; Thread; Sewing Machine; Basic sewing, pressing and measuring tools & supplies

Instructions

Step One

Using the hanger of your choice, lay the hanger on top of a piece of scrap paper and trace around the top edge of the hanger, adding 1/2 inch along the top edge and 1 inch down either side. Create the final pattern extending the hanger shape 16 inches down each side. Fully illustrated instructions have been provided. Diagram A

Step Two

Cut out two layers from the Oly-Fun™ using your pattern. Diagram B

Step Three

Using the pattern, cut one from Stiffen interfacing. Following the manufacturer’s directions, press Stiffen to the back of one of the pieces of Oly*Fun™ cut earlier. NOTE: Very carefully apply the interfacing using a pressing cloth and adjusting your iron to a synthetic setting. Diagram C

Step Four

Stitch bias tape along the top edges of each of the Oly*Fun™ Scarf Hanger pieces. Diagram D

Step Five

Turn under the top edges of the bias tape and stitch bias tape along either edge of the Oly*Fun™ Scarf Hanger pieces. Diagram E

Step Six

Insert the hanger. Diagram F

Step Seven

Stitch fringe trim along the bottom edge of the Oly*Fun™ Scarf Hanger, turning under the edges of the trim at either end. Diagram G

Step Eight

Center the Curtain Grommets on the front of the Oly*Fun™ Scarf Hanger and apply following the manufacturer’s directions. Diagram H

TIP: Be sure to use the template provided by Dritz® HOME Curtain Grommets. It makes marking, cutting and applying the grommets super simple.
