PBK Spider tutorial

Step one: Cut a rectangle of Oly*Fun Jet Black material so it fits over the back of the desired chair. Mine was 20 inches wide and 44 inches long.

Step two: Cut eight legs for the spider. I made them about 10 inches long, but you can vary the length and shape to your liking. Paint the legs with fabric stiffener and allow them to dry.

Step three: Place a strip of the Fabric Fusion tape on one side of the rectangle. Place 4 legs on the tape, and add more tape to the top of the legs. Repeat with the other side.

Step four: Fold the rectangle in half and seal the sides by pressing on the tape.

Step five: Cut circles from Snow White Oly*Fun and Orange Crush Oly*Fun. Adhere them to the spider with the Fabric Fusion Tape.

Step six: Use the white fabric paint and a fine point paint brush to make the mouth of the spider. Place a small amount of paint on the brush, and paint small dashes on the fabric. Use a ruler to help keep the lines straight and the same size. Repeat this technique on the body and legs of the spider to create faux stitches.
