Instructions

Step One

Cut the following: Halloween print fabric – 14 x 44 inches, Black Fabric – 20 x 44 inches, two 6 x 44 inches (strap/band), Quilt Batting – 33 x 44 inches.

Step Two

With right sides together stitch the bottom edge of the Halloween fabric to the black fabric. Fold in half and press, creating a 3 inch border of black fabric along of bottom edge

Step Three

With right sides together, lay the quilt batting on top of the apron front (Halloween fabric). Stitch the side seams. Turn right side out and press. Top stitch along the sides and bottom edges of the apron.

Step Four

Sew two rows of gathering stitches along the top edge of the apron. Gently pull the gathering threads and adjust the gathers evenly until the apron top measures 22 inches. Secure gathering threads by wrapping them around pins.

Step Five

Stitch the two strap sections together. Match the center point of the strap to the apron center point, right sides together and stitch. Press the strap/band up from the apron top.

Step Six

Turn in ½ inch along both sides and ends of the strap/band and press. Fold the band in half and top stitch along all edges, securing the band to the apron top.

Step Seven

Quilt apron as desired to secure batting between layers of fabric.
