Halloween Black Cat

Categories: Crochet, Decor, Fall, Halloween, Kid Friendly

This little black cat is all ready for Halloween. Made in the same boxy style as the Jack o’ Lantern the two go together perfectly as Halloween decor. A weighted bag in the base of the cat helps it sit up. Arms, legs, and, tail are crocheted in as you go. Safety eyes are added along with an embroidered nose, mouth, and whiskers. The ears are sewn into the top as the top is sewn closed.

Step Eight

Finish your cat by first, inserting the fabric pouch in the bottom and then using Poly-Fil to stuff the rest of the body. To sew the top closed first flatten the top and bring your yarn to one corner. Then stitch the top closed, sewing on the ears at the same time. The ears should be sewn on the first 7 stitches and the last 7 stitches. Add more stuffing if needed as you are sewing the opening closed.
