Instructions

  • Embroidered Monogram Ornaments

Step One

Choose a font on your computer, enlarge to desired size and print, creating patterns for all of the letters you require to make the monogram ornaments.

Step Two

Sew parallel lines of decorative stitching onto a piece of white felt.  Fuse iron-on adhesive to the back of the embroidered felt.

Step Three

Cut out your monogram patterns printed earlier and use as patterns when cutting them from the embroidered felt.

Step Four

Remove the paper backing from the embroidered cut out and fuse to green felt.  Fuse iron-on adhesive to the back of the green felt.

Step Five

Trim around the letter leaving a border of green felt showing. Use decorative edge scissors if desired.

Step Six

Remove the paper backing from the embroidered cut out and fuse to a piece of pink felt, leaving a minimum of 1/4 inch space around the outside edge.

Step Seven

Trim around the letter leaving a border of pink felt. Cut out a second piece of pink felt for the back of the ornament.

Step Eight

Sew a blanket stitch using the embroidery thread and needle around the outside edges of the ornament, stitching the front and back pieces together and leaving an opening along one edge.
