Instructions

Step One

Print the ornament pattern and cut out both pieces, the ornament and the topper.

  • ornament template
  • ornament pieces

Step Two

Cut out 2 ornament pieces from metallic Oly-Fun, for this piece I used red, gold, and rose gold, Cut 1 ornament piece from batting, Cut 2 ornament toppers from silver Oly-Fun (or desired color, I used silver for all of my ornaments). I found it easiest to trace the pattern onto the wrong side of the Oly-Fun then double (fold or cut 2 small squares just bigger than the pattern piece) to cut 2 at the same time. Cut a piece of crochet thread about 8-9 inches long.

Step Three

Layer the pieces so that you have the batting sandwiched between the 2 ornament pieces, right sides facing out. Tie the ends of the crochet thread together to make a loop and stick the tied end between the Oly-Fun and the Ornament. Place the toppers on the top of the ornament, one on the front and one on the back.

Step Four

Carefully sew all the way around the outside, starting across the top so that you secure the hanging thread right away. Make sure that you keep all of the edges lined up as you sew around.

  • ornament gift tag
  • olyfun ornament

Step Five

Now they are ready to be hung on the tree, or you can write on them with a permanent marker and attach them to presents as a gift tag.
