DIY Computer Keyboard and Mouse Armrests

Category: Utility

These DIY computer keyboard and mouse armrests will help support your wrists. The design foam provides soft support. The Oly*Fun is durable to regular use. Kiwi is one of my favorite Oly*Fun colors, adding a pop of color to a boring office. You can use any of the 18 Oly*Fun colors to create these armrests.

Instructions

Step One

From the geometric tiles, pull apart one long rectangle and one small rectangle.

Step Two

Using the scissors, cut the long rectangle in half length wise.

Step Three

Place the long cut rectangle on top of the Kiwi Oly*Fun, paper side up. Using the ruler, measure 2″ away from the foam, all around, marking with a pencil. Connect the lines. Use the scissors to cut out the Oly*Fun rectangle.

Step Four

Center the long foam rectangle on the long Oly*Fun rectangle, paper side up. Remove the paper and set aside.

Step Five

Fold up the long sides of the Oly*Fun and press them neatly onto the sticky foam back.

Step Six

Like a gift, carefully fold the short ends of the Oly*fun to the sticky foam back. Use Fabri-Tac to secure the folds. Use straight pins through the Oly*Fun and foam, to hold the ends while they dry. When the ends are dry, you can remove the straight pins.

Step Seven

Place the wrapped foam sticky side down onto another piece of Kiwi Oly*Fun. Mark the perimeter with a pencil. Cut out the backing rectangle.

Step Eight

On the back, lift up the edges of the backing Oly*Fun. Use Fabric-Tac to glue the backing edges to the folded edges. Press the foam, backing down, onto a piece of wax paper, so the backing dries flat.
