Step Five

Make the scarf

The scarf is made in two pieces, the longer piece will wrap around the neck, the shorter section is the end piece and will be folded over the long piece to create the scarf ends.

With red yarn:
ch 21
sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across (20 sc)
finish off leaving long end for sewing

ch 13
sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across (12 sc)
finish off, weave in ends

Cut 6 pieces of yarn, about 3 inches long, attach 3 to each end of the shorter piece with a larks head knot (fold in half and pull the folded end slightly through then pull the cut ends through the loop that created, pull the ends to tighten) to create a fringe

Fold the short piece in half over the long piece, then wrap the long piece around the neck so that the ends meet in the back, stitch the ends together, be sure that the ends are positioned where you want them, then stitch through to secure.
