Craft Room Makeover

Categories: Utility, Oly*Fun

Are you looking for some craft room inspiration? You’ve come to the right place. Come take a peek at my craft room that is filled to the brim with my favorite crafting products and projects. I’ll be honest with you…. this is my first big girl craft room. I’ll also let you know that it is completely life changing to have a space that is all mine to be creative in. It sounds dramatic but I mean every word.

Step One

Every great craft room needs a table. This farmhouse table is 10′ long and 3′ deep. Just the right size for my various sewing and vinyl cutting projects.

Step Two

I love having my table right next to the window as it gives me optimal natural sunlight. It makes for great photos of my various projects!

Step Three

See those beautiful bright colors there? That, my friends, is a whole lot of Oly-Fun crafting material. These bolts are quite affordable and a craft room staple!! Oly-Fun is so versatile and I love seeing these pops of color every time I walk in my craft room.

Step Four

Every great “creative space” needs a window seat right?! This was a really easy element to change in this room. I made the cushion using 3″ Soft Support Cushion Foam, wrapped in Poly-fil® Cushion Wrap and then covered it with fabric using a french seam tutorial. It was a quick project and makes for a comfy place to sit and think. I accented it with 20″x20″ feather pillow using Fairfield’s Feather-fil pillow inserts. This stool is also a project made with Fairfield’s Cushion Foam and Cushion Wrap. You can find that tutorial here>>

Step Five

These built-ins were painted black. I also added a faux painted shiplap to the inside, and added practical decor to the shelves. I want my space to not only be pretty, but functional as well.

Step Six

These floor pillows were made with a simple envelope pillow pattern with ties. We used 30″ x 30″ Soft Touch pillow forms. You can find that tutorial here>>

Step Seven

I like to mix rustic with new. This cute little crate made the perfect craft paint holder. It was important to me to merge practicality and esthetically pleasing elements in this space.
