Step one: Cut an extra large t-shirt into a piece that is 14 inches wide and 25 inches long. You should be able to make two pillows from one shirt if you cut along the sides of the shirt and cut below the collar. I kept the bottom of the shirt to use as the flap of my pillow.

step 1 zebra pillow

Step two: Save the zebra image provided, and print it onto the transfer paper. Trim around the edge of the image, and place the image face down on the fabric. Iron the back of the paper, then wait for it to cool. Once the paper is cool, carefully peel off the backing.

step 2 zebra

Step three: Use painter’s tape to mark the border of the zebra. Place a dot stencil over the fabric, and use a pouncer to dab on the red fabric paint. Remove the stencil and sprinkle the fabric glitter over the wet paint. Let it dry, then shake off the excess glitter.

step 3 Z

Step four: Fold the fabric sides over the zebra image. Measure to make sure the pillow is 12 inches wide. Use pins to mark the length at 12 inches, and sew the pinned sides together. Trim off the excess fabric.

Step five: Turn the fabric inside out. Slide the pillow into the opening in the back. If you prefer you can add a button or zipper here, but the t-shirt fabric stays together well.
