Coming from a family of sewists, Heather has been stitching since she was very young. By high school she was making her own clothing. After marrying her high school sweetheart and starting a family, Heather continued to sew clothing for her children when they were young. As they grew, Heather explored other stitching adventures including quilting, craft sewing and home décor.
Heather has taken her love of sewing to the next step by teaching and designing unique patterns that reflect her background as both a garment sewist and a quilter. Her book, “Graphic Quilts From Everyday Images” was published by Martingale in December 2014.
Heather loves to teach and has been teaching both in small shops and nationally for such organizations as The Sewing Summit, The International Quilt Festival in Houston and The Original Sewing And Quilting Expo.
