• Great Grandmother's unfinished quilt

I'm so excited.  My mom gave me this quilt top that she found in my Grand Mother's closet.  It was made by my great grandmother around 1930.  It is all hand pieced together and my mother and I are going to hand quilt it.  

The fabric is thinner than what I am used to.  I guess in the 1930's the cotton used for piecing was thinner!

Here is a close up of some of the blocks.  I don't know much about old cloth, but I'm wondering if these could be from feed sacks.

They probably are from feedsacks and old clothing.

That is a priceless find. Are you done quilting it yet? I love how it brings 3 generations of women together. I hope you will upload another photo.
