great product, easy to use Rate 4

by pegburke4 - Dec 10, 2011

I first bought Fusi-boo because it has a funny name. I thought, anything with a name like Fusi-boo is at least worth trying.

Now that I've tried it, I may never use anything else. It's very easy to use and feels wonderful. Oh, and my quilt looks terrific. A combination you just can't beat.

Fusi-Boo Rate 4

I love the fusible Fusi-Boo batt. I've used it on very large quilts and also on wall hangings. It fuses easily and stays fused. Just the use of a steam iron and I'm good to go. After the quilt is quilted the batt is supple and a pleasure to hold. I will never baste a quilt with thread again. Thanks so much for this wonderful product.

Not just great for quilting Rate 4

by Berene - Aug 27, 2010

I am in the process of launching a new business of sewing craft kits (www.happysewlucky.com) that come with everything you need to make baby toys and Christmas decorations. I chose Fusi-boo as the batting for some of the products that have small and fiddly arms and legs. Everyone that has tested my kits so far has commented on how much they love the Fusi-boo, and how it makes batting the little pieces so much easier. Given that my products are printed on organic fabric, I especially like the fact that Fusi-boo is made in part from sustainable resources. (bamboo blend)

fysi-boo is great Rate 4

I just completed a wall hanbing (36x45) and a matching runner using the fusi-boo - IT IS GREAT - no pins, no muss, no rippling. I just went out to buy 3 more pieces. I don't think I'd do any hand quilting with it because there is a little needle drag, but for machine quilting it's a must.

Do you still have the free swatch of Fusi-Boo Batting available? I'm interested to feel the texture and loft of it.

Fusi-Boo Samples Rate 4

by jessicag - Jun 17, 2010

I noticed a couple of comments asking about the samples and figured I would share some info - if you roll over the clouds on the homepage, you'll see a message about requesting samples. If you click on any of the clouds, you get redirected to a form to fill out for your sample. I requested mine this way and just received it. Love Fusi-Boo! :)

Fusiboo Batting! Rate 4

by April - Jun 11, 2010

I work at a local quilt shop in Marion, Iowa (Connie's Quilt Shop) - recently the shop owner brought back a sample of Fusiboo from Market and since I am the "resident batting person" I was privileged to try this new product. I LOVE IT! First and foremost - FUSIBLE IS THE WAY TO GO! No more crawling around hand-basting or using safety pins - what a joy! I made a sample using all cotton fabric for both front and back of the quilt and used all cotton thread to quilt. It quilted like a dream - and once fused stayed put. To experiment, I pulled 1/4 of the fused portion back and re-fused - no problem whatsoever and the part re-fused was indistinguishable from the part I had initially fused. I used an all-over pattern to quilt, then bound the quilt and promptly tossed it into the washer on warm/delicate cycle (I am confident it would have been just fine had I used a regular wash cycle, but I was being conservative). When washing a fused fabric (whether spray basted or prepared fusible batting) I use a regular liquid fabric softener in the rinse - my choice, I LIKE the smell and feel. I then threw a fabric softener sheet into the dryer with the quilt sample & dried on regular heat just until dry. As far as shrinkage is concerned, I noticed the usual amount one would expect from cotton batting - I LOVE THE CRINKLED, ANTIQUE LOOK OF WASHED COTTON QUILTS and this batting gave me the same effect! Great product and I am already recommending it to customers and fellow quilters in my guild! Thank you so much for a GREAT PRODUCT! Sincerely, AB in Iowa
