Pattern Image Loading

This quilt is Miriam Gourley Rawson new quilt pattern "Christmas in the Woods" which will be available to purchase on Miriam’s website: www.fabricfolk.com. She was happy to use Fairfield’s wonderful fusible batting, as something to eliminate the use of spray adhesive in assembling a quilt.

 

Spray adhesives are very good—I’ve used several brands, but it always involves taking the quilt top outside (do you know what spray adhesive does if it drifts onto your carpet????), spreading the quilt top on your lawn, or hanging it on a clothesline, then spraying the wrong side, manhandling the top back into the house, then onto the batting, and smoothing it in place, then repeating this step for the quilt backing.
