Biography

I can remember my mom sewing when I was very young and the words “Do not touch my sewing machine”.  What a way to intrigue a child.  There began my interest in sewing.

When my mom was getting ready to move to Texas to help my aunt with our grandparents I asked her to show me how to make a quilt.  She took the time to teach me how to make a 9 patch quilt.  What a glorious day we had!  I took what she had taught me and pulled out the old fabric from the attic and began playing.

I looked for a place to buy some nice fabric and found a quilt shop close to home.  The fabric was unlimited.  The sales person must have known that I was new to this shop because I was just walking around in a daze.  She came over and asked if she could help me.  I showed her some of my designs that I wanted to sew.  She helped me pick out some fabric and off to sew I went.

I began working with Hoffman California Fabrics in May of 2008.  My first season with Hoffman was a winner in my eyes.

I cannot express my gratitude to Hoffman California Fabrics.  I have been fortunate enough to have several of my designs included in the Keepsake Quilting Catalog.  Quiltmaina Magazine in April 2009 published “Towering Cookies”.  Hoffman ran “Get Hip to be Squared” in the Fons & Porter Easy Quilts Magazine Winter 2009.  I was so excited to see my design and name in such a wonderful magazine.  I was very honored when I was asked to design a quilt for Quilter’s Home Magazine this year.  The quilt is Annebelle Adams in the August/September 2010 issue.

I now design for several fabric companies and have been honored to be accepted into Fairfield

I sit back and am humbled by all this growth and know that God is responsible for all of it and I thank him every day.
