Sharing art is its many diverse forms has been a part of Rita’s life and business for over 30 years. From making furniture for her children when they were young to today’s successful pattern and design business, Rita says the rewards come from sharing her art and teaching others to find the hidden “Artist” within.

She has just completed a two year traveling trunk show of her art quilts and patterns for Bernina USA. The trunk show traveled across the United States. “It was always a wonderful experience to meet the store owners and their patrons and to encourage new quilters to ‘just do it’”. Rita says: “Sharing our art with others makes us all better artists.”

Last fall, Rita and her daughter wrote the only pattern book presently available on Texture Book. They shared it with the public for the first time during the Houston International Quilt Market and Festival. Rita states: “We created six easy patterns with Texture Magic, from purses and table runners to art quilts. Texture Magic’s fabric manipulation capabilities add unlimited unique results to quilts, clothing, purses and home décor projects.” The public responded to the workbook with great success.
